Creation Myths

"In the beginning, my dear, was Being alone." - Upanishads

After reading the From Primitives to Zen creation stories, it became obvious that all humans basically believe in the same story.  In all the myths, there is always a timeless supreme deity that starts with nothing or darkness and then creates the Earth.  Some of the stories have slight variations. For example, some told that the elements were once gods.  Either way, there is always a all mighty power that creates.

I find this interesting because people are the same today.  For example, Christianity.  Christians believe that God created the Earth and filled it with life and man.  Islam, has Allah.  So on so forth.  Anyways, the point is these "myths" have transformed into modern day religion.
